I can hardly believe that its been since January since I posted last. Crazy how the time flies and how sad that I have hardly had any time to be crafty in that time. School work takes precedence, but I'm ready to make a new start. I've started my very own YouTube channel and already have two videos posted up (exciting and a bit nerve-wracking). I'm also making the transition from Blogger to Wordpress. So join me at my new blog, Crafty With Pixiestedding
I hope you will all join me as I make a new start and don't forget; Get Crafty!

Damask Divas Valentine's Blog Hop
Welcome to another fabulous Damask Divas Blog Hop! I'm super excited to share with you another great paper pack from Close To My Heart. If you have hopped over from Jamie's Blog then you are definitely in the right place. If this is your first stop, be sure to continue the hop and check out the rest of the fabulous blog posts. You can find the complete list of Blogs at the Damask Divas Blog.
I'm so excited to share the beginnings of my fun Mini Album using the Heartstrings Picture My Life Journal Cards. CTMH has made not only the Heartstrings paper pack, but a corresponding PML set. These can be used together or separately. I actually only had the journal cards on hand but they worked so great for this mini album. I decided to make it a 4 x 6 sized album, which is the size of the biggest journal cards. I picked two of the big cards as a front and back cover. I decided I wanted to make it a romantic album, I hope to use it as a surprise for my Husband. So Shhhh, don't tell him. He actually was sitting with me when I was working on it, but I think he'll be surprised anyway.
Since I didn't have the actual paper pack, I looked up in the Seasonal to see what plain cardstock colors were included and used those colors that I had on hand. I also added in some extra patterned paper to give it more contrast. I made all the bases 4 x 6 and added the smaller 3 x 4 cards on top of them to create spots for journaling, as well as pockets for additional journal cards. I added some extra embellishments and have the beginnings of a fabulous mini album. It was super easy to do and you can make it as big or as little as you want. It can have only 4 or 5 pages, but can hold even more than that. Giving you the options for whatever you need it to be.
Journal cards can be used for so much more. They can be used to create cards, regular journal scrapbooking, they can even be used on regular 12 x 12 scrapbook pages. The options are endless, so don't feel like you have to use them in a very cookie cutter fashion. Step out of the cookie cutter and find the perfect fit project for you!
I had a lot of fun working on this. I won't lie though I'm not quite done with it, but I should finish it over the next couple of days. So make sure you stop back by to see the finished product. I hope that this has inspired you to work on a new project or even an unfinished one. Remember to Get Crafty!

Damask Divas Blog Hop: Scaredy Cat
Here we are again at the beginning of a new month with new, fun B&T papers to highlight! Welcome to September's Blog Hop. If you have arrived from the talented Amie's Blog, you are in the right place. If you have found yourself here by chance, you can go to the Damask Diva Blog and see a full list of all of this month's participants!
This month we are highlighting the super cute Scaredy Cat paper pack and just in time for Halloween. When they announced this as one of our new B&T packs I was super excited! Halloween is a big deal at my house and so to actually have cute Halloween themed paper was exciting. It has some great patterns that can be used for other projects that are not Halloween in nature (I love that!)
I had originally planned to do some cute popcorn boxes, but with having just started back to college, I find my time is limited. I'm still trying to get my scheduling figured out! I decided to keep it simple. I was participating in a Swap that was for layered images that were Fall & Halloween themed. I found these super cute pumpkins and went with it. I used three of the different patterned papers to give the pumpkins pop and color. I used Autumn Terracotta for the top layer and I absolutely love how they turned out. The last pumpkin, I actually used the polka dot paper from Babycakes (Retired) and found that it fit with the theme.
The uses for this super cute paper are endless and I hope to share more projects in the coming weeks. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my super cute pumpkins. The next blog on the list is the amazing Stephanie! Head on over and be sure to share the love with each of our talented ladies! Don't forget to Get Crafty!
